“Since @crazyforgoodbooze hooked me on Mauritius at the 11th GRF, I've been trying to get to know that country's rums better. With this one, I like the expressive currant note on the palate. A really pleasant rum, but with an unremarkable nose and short finish that can't match Perola's Grays (RX12865) from the same year. Update 2023-07-02: I must have had a bad day at the first tasting, only 82 points just doesn't do the rum justice. Now, at the second tasting, it has a super long, fruity-woody finish. The impressive red rum now gets a well-deserved 86 points. Pretty good PLV for a single cask and still available, wonderful.”

“Super découverte que ce New Grove full proof. C'est un peu trop intense pour moi et j'aurais apprécié une réduction mais j'ai vraiment bien aimé cette compotée de fruits au bois jeunes avec une touche d'eucalyptus. Surprenant, dans le bon sens du terme.”
