“The new version (2022) of Courcelles 1972 from Swiss bottler Rhum House. It's 50 years old! The nose is fresh and delicate, with salted butter caramel, wild cherry and light tar. The palate entry is surprisingly smooth considering the ABV. The aromas develop harmoniously, yet become stronger, with herbs first, then bitter cherries. The finish is fruity, long and refined. In the empty glass, all the aromas blend harmoniously. The palate is even more beautiful than the nose. A mysterious rum that reveals itself bit by bit, so take your time.”
