Top review from cigares :
"A rum tasted at the WLP. A nose of marzipan and glue with dried fruit. On the palate, there's glue, vegetal notes and quite a bit of bitterness. The finish is long on wood and dried fruit. A fine rum, but disappointing in direct comparison with WLP's HLCF."

"Nice and intense bottling. Vast basket of tropical fruits and funky esters combined with marzipan and cookie notes. Compared to the RDL HGML, the latter had a more pronounced impact from the barrel putting it ahead of the NY we have here."

"This is yet another release from the Tributo series and again a wonderful rum. I love the box it comes in. Complex and very well balanced with a bit of dried fruit and spices topped off with oak and tobacco. Very well done and it may be a bit expensive but it is also limited to 2500 bottles worldwide. "

"Had a retaste and this time I had the right cigar to go with it and wow what a difference, this is truly a mix well worth a try even though the cigar is slightly expensive and hard to get. Just decided to crack open this wonderful bottle and I regret not having a Cohiba Piramides to go with it. I know it was made to match the Cohiba Siglo VI, but that is too heavy a cigar for me :-) A cooperation between master blender Asbel Morales and cigar sommelier Fernando Fernández and they made something out of this world. A wonderful deep and elegant masterpiece that has a long, warm and elegant balanced finish. A rum worthy of the price tag and then some!"

"#4154 This is a really nice Jamaican and the price tag is OK. Funky and fruity, almost rotten fruit flavours topped with spices and ester. Draws nice curtains and the empty glass has some leather and raisin."

"#4648 02.03.2024 Whiskymessen This one is going to split waters because of the finish and I'm looking forward to seeing the scores 😊 Nose Intense, wood, light roasted, fruity, light caramel, cherry. Palate Intense, wood, light roasted, sherry, fruity, light herbs. Finish Long, wood, sherry, dried fruit, light herbs. A different finish if the distillery edition 2. It has more punch in the profile and slightly more edges.."

"29.09.2023 This is a nice and intense unaged. I tried this one at a whopping 83% where it's even better in my mind. Intense and fruity with floral and earthy notes. The palate is oily and spicy with fruit and grassy notes. The finish is very long and warm with some citrus. Draws nice and thick curtains in the glass. The empty glass is fresh and has some iodine and very light mint."

"#4452 04.11.2023 preparing a tasting for next weekend for a group of 4. All rums are in the "war" spectrum 😂 I'd call this and infinity rum because it's been bemlended from many different releases across the spectrum from unaged to Caroni. Pretty good for the price. Medium fruity with caramel and caramel. The finish is medium long and sweet."

"Navy Rum bottled at Navy Strength ABV 57,5%, by the Danish independent bottler RumDeLuxe. The blend is classic when it comes to the four delivering countries. From nose via palate to the quite long finish I recognize caramel, dark chocolate and some licorice notes. Unfortunately it’s way too sweet in my opinion. Haven’t read anything about it somewhere, but it’s hard to believe that they haven’t added sugar to it."

"The alcoholic whiff is back again although only on the nose, otherwise it is very similar to 5YO but heavier on the 👅. All flavours intensified. Dark chocolate, roasted or burned sugar, vanilla and coffee. Just a tad bit better than 5 YO. The original one is not worth a try, just go for 5/10YO. Very good rums although sweetened. But this one along with 5YO offers depth."

"Being an elixir, this one is extremely sweet(obviously). But let me get to the point: The taste is awful; the same as smell. You can smell and taste the camomile, honey. Not the best combination. Being a person who dislikes both, this one is a no no for me. The finish is zero to none which is actually good as you really do not want to feel the taste longer than necessary. For the sake of this review I have tasted this one again but boy I will never, ever do it again as it gives me a shiver down my spine. I will leave the remainder of the bottle to my wife who likes it very much. Reaffirmation: Never again. One of the worst things I had tasted."

"I got this nice pack of all three 200ml heffrons for a really chep price around 12E in discount. So why not to buy and test it, to compare between each other. I did not like the original one so I thought I might give rest of them a go to see if they are any better and they are. Ib this one the alcoholic whiff and taste is gone, it is full flavoured with milk chocolate, vanilla and roasted tones all around. Very nice one, reminds me of dominican republic rum, sort of a patridom rum."
