"Sehr tolle Gesamtkombo. Ich schmecke nebst den Früchten Safran raus, was mir persönlich sehr gut gefällt. Verbrannte Heidelbeeren. Alkohol dürft noch ein wenig besser eingebunden sein. Braucht Luft zum Atmen. Ein wenig Wasser funktioniert auch, bringt noch mehr Frucht hervor. Fürs Alter noch ordentlich wild. Aber viel Komplexität und Umami."

"I ordered the bottle as a Black Friday deal from Master of Malt. I was rather skeptical, but at that price I had to try it. I was pleasantly surprised. A lot of dark and tart tones emerge from the glass. Mostly wood & spice though. Fruits are present, but only really perceptible after a longer standing time. Typical Caroni DNA is present. I would have liked more fruit for a higher score."

"Super funky Stoff hier aus st. Lucia. Geschmacklich komplett anders wie alles bisherige aus st.lucia weil 100% sugarcane/Agricole. An der Nase fantastisch fruchtig nach Ananas, Limettenabrieb und karamellisierter Banane, etwas Maracuja mit Minze und leicht florale Anklänge. Geschmacklich dann deutlich frischer und trockener und kräftiger als erwartet... würzig, säuerlich-frisch, fruchtig und bitter zugleich. Im Abgang kommt Menthol und leicht verbrannter Fahrradschlauch/Gummi mit durch sowie etwas Bitterorange. Sehr abgefahren und spannend und definitiv mal was anderes aus St. Lucia! Für eine höhere Bewertung müsste er etwas harmonischer sein aber für den muss man schon echt Bock und Zeit für haben! 😅"

"Ein fruchtiger Geruch, Zuckerrohr, etwas nach Gewürzen, Vanille und Holz. Im Geschmack dominiert zuerst ein Whiskyeinschlag mit Holz, dann kommt der Agricole-Geschmack stärker zum Vorschein. Das Finish wird süßer mit einem leichten scharfen Brennen."

"Wird ja immer besser! Hat eben schon der El Salvador von Royal Cane eine gute Figur gemacht, so setzt der Fiji noch einen drauf! Scheiß drauf, dass der nichts von einem Fiji hat, er ist schön kräftig und schmeckt einfach. (Obwohl ich zugeben muss, dass er im Gegensatz zum El Salvador besser zu einem Winterabend passen würde.)"

"Ich mag diese Abfüllung. Könnte ein Flor de Cãna sein aber sehr lecker. Erinnert stark an eine hochprozentige Schokolade mit würzigen Elementen, Teeblätern und gerösteten Nüssen. Hat etwas Caronimässiges. Gefällt."

"This rum is also a bit sharp due to the 45% but it's still very well balanced. In the taste the whisky/bourbon cask is very dominant, but not in a bad way. A very long finish that starts of a tad strong but fades down to a very nice rum pretty fast and then just sticks. Remember to let it rest for at least 15 minutes! "

"Das ist doch endlich Mal ein wunderbarer Rum aus Kuba. Kräftig, Vielfältig, aromatisch. Die Nase lässt einen stark an Jamaica denken, speziell Worthy Park und teilweise Long Pond wären hier zu nennen. Am Gaumen wird es noch wesentlich breiter es ist beileibe nicht der gefälligste Rum. Aber ein sehr guter, charakterstarker."

"Rich, deep and dark amber colour. A hint of grilled pineapple which is not typical for a Barbados rum. A real powerful belter, great after dinner rum. Sweet and rich somewhat sickly body, with candied nuts and pineapple on the mouth. A caramel and wine cask nose. The elements of stout barrel don’t come through for me but an interesting rum nevertheless"

"First off the price is pretty good compared to what you get. This release is very close the the 2008 version except for the nose that has a tweak to it that I can't put my finger on. Spice with roasted wood/smoky notes and some fruit, what's not to like."

"I have many of the really good releases from Havana and compared to them this one lacks some complexity. Not that it's a bad rum, the profile is nice and fruity with nice spices and caramel, but I would have loved some more punch."
