“80% OWH 2012 20% <>H 2016 Im direkten Vergleich mit ‘20, ‘21 und ‘22: am wenigsten intensiv in der Nase, mehr Marzipan, am hellsten zusammen mit 21, etwas herber und kräftiger als die anderen am Gaumen. Recht geschmeidig und zurückhaltend in der Nase, wirkt frisch und zugleich vinegar. Deutlich Lösungsmittel und etwas Ester, Zitrusfrüchte, vielleicht Zitrone oder doch Mandarine? Eine leicht süßliche Marzipan-Note mischt sich ein. Säuerlich-fruchtig mit Ananas. Etwas holzig mit Vanille. Am Gaumen kommt er zunächst sauer-salzig-bitter daher und wirkt doch etwas cremig. Hampden-Ester Richtung Klebstoff finden sich jetzt auch. Zitrus in Richtung Grapefruit und wieder Marzipan. Hinten raus kommt etwas Anis hinzu. Im Abgang zum Anis, Orangenschale und Grüntee. Ein sehr angenehmer Blend.”

“Besonderheiten aus meinem Vergleichstasting mit HD GH '19, '20 und '21: Nase: süß, beerig, Reife Kirschen Gaumen: scharf, holzig Nachklang: Holz, gegrillte Ananas, mittellang Erste Verkostung: Nase: sehr fruchtig mit Jamaica-Funk! Hier gibt es aber noch mehr zu entdecken: ich finde Limette und grünen Apfel. Mund: jetzt sehr das ein was die Nase schön erahnen lassen hat! Abgang: Säure und eine leichte Bitterkeit kommen dazu zusammen mit Einflüssen vom Fass. Der Hampden gefällt mir besonders weil er im Vergleich zu machen High Ester Abfüllungen schön ausgezogen ist aber die Hampden DNA trotzdem prima vermittelt.”
