DDL El Dorado Single Still Enmore 2009 40%
The El Dorado Single Still Enmore rum is a distinctively flavorful selection, celebrated for its unique blend of notes like oak, green pepper, vanilla, and caramel. Produced in Guyana, this 2009 rum offers a rich, woody profile, contrasted by occasional hints of coffee and the sweetness of maple syrup and caramel. The mild ABV level makes this easy to drink and accessible, presenting a wonderful choice for those venturing into the world of Enmore profile rums. Although it's distinctively terroir-focused with shades of tobacco and refined leather, some enthusiasts feel it leans towards the sweet side. Opinions aside, this is a favorable offering from El Dorado that is well-respected for its remarkable blend of flavors and striking characteristics.

“Light version of the US version with 54.3%? The parallels are at least clearly present, even if there is a league between them in terms of quality. Unfortunately, this release seems a bit too sweet, to the detriment of complexity. The maple syrup caramel note is pleasant to drink, but slays the profile. Wood, dark spices, although with level, but apart from that just relatively flat.”
