“What a lovely rum and the price tag is also very good compared to the quality. The nose is lightly woody with a bit of smoke and fruits and vanilla. There is also light herbs and medicinal notes The palate is wonderfully fruity with wood, vanilla and honey as well as a light cocoa note. The finish is medium to long and has wood, vanilla and fruits.”

“Very closed nose at first. Wood and apples. Taste: more oak wood (American Oak/Pine wood). Bourbon. Pear.. a lot of pear. Some ripe peaches too. A nice sweetness. Dry and bitter. The cask is very dominant, but that's okay. This one needs time in the glass. I like the balance between sweetness, fruits and cask. Some pepper or ginger spiciness. Tasty. Probably one of the better Beenleighs I've had”

“At the beginning mostly alcohol, chemical and fresh/grassy notes. Given the ABV (63,4%) it most definitely needs some air. Over time the sweet, fruity notes develop more and more. The alcohol still gives a lot of heat, but it’s way better compared to the first half hour. The finish is mostly herbal/woody and lasts for quite a while.”
